14 Year Old Freshman Invents Surgical Technique
We have changed our title of this piece to stress importance on the most phenomenal aspect of this news. He is a 14 yr old freshman, making great, inventive, and progressive steps in the medical field! He is an example of excellence and possibility. Mostly everyone has stressed attention on the fact that he is black, an African American, which is a double edged sword. It is no doubt, a contribution to the lack of attention to the subject in mainstream news, and one of the reason it's received the attention it has, thus far. But, we want to congratulate young Tony Hansberry II, for his creativity and willingness to succeed, regardless of his race. We would be ecstatic for such a venture among any new pioneer, black, white, yellow, or red! We know that it is more difficult as a person of color to receive credit and acknowledgment where it's due, and we are grateful for the example he's set for so many children, and adults alike. But like so many others, we peer forward to the day when human excellence and the beautiful power of the mind is celebrated and received by all, without placeholders or scrutiny. Thank you Tony for your continued growth. You are an inspiration ;)

Director Jeff Stilson follows Chris Rock on this raucous adventure prompted by Rock's daughter approaching him and asking, "Daddy, how come I don't have good hair?" Haircare professionals, beautyshop and barbershop patrons, as well as celebrities including Ice-T, Nia Long, Paul Mooney, Raven Symoné, Dr. Maya Angelou, Salt n Pepa, Eve and Reverend Al Sharpton all candidly offer their stories and observations to Rock while he struggles with the task of figuring out how to respond to his daughter's question.
GOOD HAIR marks a reunion of the team behind Rock's acclaimed and Emmy® Award-winning HBO series The Chris Rock Show, including producer Nelson George, writer-director Jeff Stilson, writers Lance Crouther and Chuck Sklar. The film is produced by Chris Rock and Kevin ODonnell.
GOOD HAIR is presented by HBO Films and released theatrically by Liddell Entertainment and Roadside Attractions.
